Olivia Young extended her pale, jade-like fingers. "Put it on, and then take a picture. Show off our love."
Frederick Fairfax lowered his chin, lightly resting it against the back of her hand. His deep, dark eyes gazed up at her, not unlike a big dog seeking affection from its beloved owner.
A few months ago, he never would have imagined he'd one day bow down to her.
"It's not about showing off our love—it's about staking my claim," he said.
Olivia Young winked at him. "I get it, go ahead!"
Of course she had to show off! You never knew when the Story itself might yank her back into the original plot. She needed clear, irrefutable evidence of her right mind.
She couldn't care less about Grace Gordon now.
Frederick Fairfax slid the ring onto her finger, then leaned down and pinned her to the bed, kissing her.
Before Olivia Young knew what was happening, his lips were already pressed to hers.
What was going on?
Was her brain short-circuiting?
This damned man couldn't go a moment without kissing her—tangling his tongue with hers, their breaths coming faster and faster, stopping only after a long, heated moment.
"Why'd you suddenly kiss me?" she asked, dazed.
"Because you winked at me and said 'go ahead!'" Frederick Fairfax played with a lock of her hair, his eyes overflowing with love. "Did I misunderstand?"
He really did get it wrong!
What she meant was that they should show off their love and post on social media together.
"Well, you've already kissed me, so let's just roll with it." Olivia Young lifted her right hand. "This ring is really beautiful."
The diamond was huge and dazzling.
It must've cost at least seven figures.
Was it more attractive than he was?
Frederick Fairfax buried his face against her chest with a low whimper. "Wife, I'm suffering here."
Wasn’t this an obvious hint? How could she not get it!
He was young and full of fire; a single kiss was enough to get him all riled up. Couldn’t blame him for that.
Olivia Young gently peeled back his pajama collar, revealing his broad shoulder. Her fingers danced across his skin like playing a piano as she whispered, "If you really can't hold back, I can watch you do it on your own~"
She wanted to watch!
Loved watching!
Hehehe~
Frederick Fairfax’s voice was low and husky, his whole body heating up. "Baby, your husband can satisfy your curiosity, but I want your kisses."
"You mean kisses on the lips, right?"
Not kisses anywhere else, yeah?
Especially not that certain eager place.
"Can't I kiss your neck? Or your abs?" he teased.
Well... it wasn't out of the question~
On New Year's Eve, some were indulging in the pleasure of the bedroom, some were with their babies in the nursery, some lit fireworks, and some watched the annual gala. Meanwhile, someone next door sat drinking alone, eyes fixed intently on the neighboring villa, lost in inscrutable thoughts.
Because Olivia Young was still in postpartum confinement this year, they hadn’t gone anywhere for New Year's. She spent her days at home.
The official holiday flew by.
Olivia Young was finally done with confinement.
The moment she was free, Olivia Young snuck out in her car.
She wasn't alone.
She'd made plans with Bella Snow.
Time for a girls' day out: shopping, spa, beauty treatments, and getting their figures back.
The two of them basked in the comfort of a massage.
"Nothing beats being without a man..."
Since Olivia Young was still breastfeeding, today's massage was mainly to get her milk ducts flowing and ease any engorgement.
Although Frederick Fairfax was pretty good with his massage techniques too—
But he was such a rogue!
Give him half a chance, and he'd end up using his mouth instead of his hands.
Always getting handsy.
"Girl, you could totally kick Frederick Fairfax to the curb right now and raise the kid yourself!"
"Okay, but if someday you end up with Tara Young and I tell you to dump him, would you?"
Bella Snow giggled. "No way~"
"Exactly, gotta get your fill first."
The thought made Olivia Young's heart feel stifled.
She’d gotten pregnant with Frederick Fairfax’s baby on their first night together, and then they were separated for months.
When they finally reunited, they had a lightning-fast wedding, but Frederick Fairfax didn’t recognize her at all—they even signed a prenuptial agreement.
No chance to get physical at all.
So, up to now, the only night she and Frederick Fairfax had together was the one when Yana was conceived.
Just that one night!
Olivia Young was wallowing in her misery when her phone rang.
A local number she didn’t recognize.
She rarely answered calls from unfamiliar numbers out of town, but she’d pick up a local call just in case.
"Hello, this is the production team of 'Goodbye, My Love.' Miss Young, would you consider joining our reality show?"
"I'm not interested! We’re not planning to get divorced."
"Miss Young, you don’t have to be getting divorced to join. It’s great for publicity, and our show’s really popular! Please, just consider it for me? It's not easy being a regular worker..."
What good would it do to cry to her? She wasn’t the boss!
"No way, no way. He won’t go either. We don’t need that kind of exposure."
Olivia Young hung up.
A show that popular didn’t need to beg—loads of people were queuing up to get on it.
They were calling her only because Frederick Fairfax was so famous.
He’d just gotten married, his wife had given birth to an adorable little girl, he had a childhood sweetheart—the gossip was endless. And given Frederick Fairfax’s own soaring popularity, the show was desperate for him.
They weren’t the ones seeking exposure—the program was the one chasing them.
"You’re getting invited to a Divorce Show? Who signed you up?"
Bella Snow laughed. "It wasn’t Frederick Fairfax, was it?"
"No, it was just a weird accident."
Olivia Young stared at her phone. Even Zachary Shaw got dragged into the storyline by the Plot—this Story was too much.
During confinement, she’d barely had time to go out.
She messaged Zachary Shaw and set up a time.
After saying goodbye to Bella Snow, she headed to a private dining restaurant to meet Zachary Shaw.
Zachary Shaw was seated by the window, bookish and refined, the soft light casting a gentle glow over his features. He was the picture of composure and elegance.
But the moment he saw her enter, his eyes lit up.
Oh boy.
It was that look that worried her the most!
"Long time no see. You’re looking well," Zachary Shaw’s gaze followed her as she sat down. "Looks like Frederick Fairfax’s been treating you right lately."
Ever since that night when he met a whole slew of potential rivals, Frederick Fairfax had acted like a man possessed.
Posting on social media every single day.
Thanks to that, people who never used to see Olivia Young at all were now treated to new glimpses of her every day.
A whole lot of lurking would-be admirers were finding their fix.
"He's at home with the kid every day."
Olivia Young had to admit, Frederick Fairfax really was doing well lately.
Other than taking good care of their child, he showed constant concern for her well-being.
Who’d have thought that the arrogant, high-and-mighty Frederick Fairfax would ever become a stay-at-home dad?
Zachary Shaw handed her the menu. "You didn’t just ask me to dinner, did you?"
"No."
Olivia Young ordered first; once the waiter took the menus away, she sipped her tea, struggling to find the right words.
In the original story, Zachary Shaw suffered badly because of her, tormented by Grace Gordon.
Yet now, he was sitting across from her, alive and well—just like Quentin Young.
She fiddled with her cup, choosing her words carefully. "I think we’re alike. Our thoughts aren’t always our own, sometimes we even say things we don’t mean. I wanted to talk to you about it."
"I had no idea about that divorce show thing. It’s like I was possessed or something." Zachary Shaw still regretted it.
If Olivia Young and Frederick Fairfax had really gone on that divorce show, he’d have been the one blamed for breaking them up.
"I know. That’s why I want to warn you—keep your distance from Grace Gordon and Annabelle Winters from now on."
"Them?" Zachary Shaw frowned in confusion. "What do they have to do with this?"
