Just because his surname is Feng, does he think he can go crazy whenever he wants?
That kiss was so deep, so intense, he sucked so hard my lips feel numb—and barely my own anymore.
Olivia Young whimpered, breathing softly, and tried to push him away. Instead, he pinned her hands above her head.
Their breaths mingled, and even the lamplight seemed to take on a sultry glow.
"Wifey~" Frederick Fairfax’s voice was hoarse. "Wifey, let me give you a kiss."
"It’s not that I won’t let you—but you’re biting too hard!" Tears shimmered in Olivia Young’s eyes; even the corners glistened. "Are you part dog or something? Are you hoping that if you bite me to death, you’ll get to switch wives or what?"
"No, not…"
Frederick Fairfax slowly lowered his head, burying himself against her neck.
Now that he knew Olivia Young had been the woman from that night—she must’ve known everything, from his awkward crying at first to her later complaints about his inexperience…
He…
He!
Should he come clean or not?
"Skills need practice, especially with your wife," he thought.
Wait—no, that’s not the point.
Olivia Young once said the baby’s father was well-endowed and amazing in bed.
He is the father.
Which means he’s well-endowed and amazing in bed!
"Hey~" Olivia Young’s voice was gentle and sweet. "Don’t lean so close, you’re squishing me…"
"I’m not squishing you—just snuggling."
"Aren’t you embarrassed?"
Technically, he ought to be.
But he’d done much more than just snuggle that night.
No wonder, when he’d ‘accidentally’ touched Olivia Young’s chest before, it’d felt so different from that night.
She’d gotten bigger after pregnancy.
He felt downright stupid.
Frederick Fairfax’s self-loathing was about to rear its head again.
Olivia Young gave him a couple more shoves before he finally rolled off her, slow and languid. His pale face was faintly flushed, his eyes clouded over, and his hair was a wild mess, totally lovestruck.
Olivia Young: "..."
Speechless.
She was left with bright red lips from his kisses, and there he was, looking totally entranced.
Was he drunk or something?
Frederick Fairfax took off his suit jacket and placed it beside her. "I’m going to shower. If you miss me, just sniff my scent."
Olivia Young pinched the jacket between two fingers and casually tossed it aside. "I’m not as much of a weirdo as you."
He caught it neatly and set it on the sofa.
That mouth of Olivia Young’s really had a bite!
So stubborn!
Despite melting under his kisses just now, she still refused to be honest with him.
So infuriating.
Frederick Fairfax came out of the shower to find the bedroom pitch-black.
Every light was off.
He admired how Olivia Young lived: other people’s opinions didn’t matter—only her happiness did.
He lay down on the bed, right beside Olivia Young’s soft, fragrant body.
No reaction?
He snuck a little closer, but Olivia Young turned her back to him.
He moved in, spooning her gently from behind.
"Ugh, it’s so hot~"
"Honey, could you give me a little space?"
Olivia Young’s voice was lazy. "Pretty please?"
She’s pleading for distance?
He threw his arm around her waist, but Olivia Young promptly shoved him off.
"Keep pushing and I’ll kick you off the bed!" she threatened.
Frederick Fairfax knew when to stop.
He let her go, quietly.
He rolled onto his back, and Olivia Young quickly fell asleep beside him.
Frederick Fairfax lay awake, eyes wide open.
He was too excited!
Too thrilled.
He almost wanted to burst into song.
Today really was a good day~~~
Who knows how long he lay there, but eventually Frederick Fairfax slipped on his robe and quietly tiptoed into the nursery.
The night nurse saw him and immediately stood up. "Sir, the little miss just fell asleep an hour ago."
With a simple wave of his hand, he dismissed her.
He sat by the bassinet, gazing steadily at his little bundle of joy.
The baby was just a few days old—chubby, fair, and tiny all over—absolutely adorable.
"Baby, I’m your daddy."
"Your real, biological daddy~"
"You’re Dad’s little darling, my precious girl…"
The more Frederick Fairfax looked, the more he adored her.
An hour passed, and he still couldn’t bear to leave.
"What are you doing here?"
Frederick Fairfax turned. The old master strolled in at a leisurely pace. "Grandfather, I came to see my daughter."
"Up in the middle of the night instead of sleeping!"
"Aren’t you up too?"
"I’m old, I don’t sleep much," Grandfather replied matter-of-factly. "Get back to Olivia Young."
"She’s sleeping well," Frederick Fairfax insisted, leaning over the crib again. "Grandfather, do you think my daughter resembles me?"
Grandfather squinted, inspecting both their faces. "She looks more like Xiyue."
"Not even a little bit like me?"
Frederick Fairfax protested.
He thought the baby’s lips were just like his.
She was definitely his biological daughter!
"Don’t overthink it," Grandfather patted his shoulder. "Go get some sleep."
"One day, you’ll learn the truth and eat your words, Grandfather," he thought. "How could a daughter of the Fairfax family not look like me?"
Frederick Fairfax tiptoed back to the bedroom.
He didn’t sleep a wink until morning.
The whole night, he replayed in his mind how Olivia Young might one day tell him, "Hubby, Yana Zhi is your daughter. That night—I was the woman with you."
He was excited—right up until dawn.
"Mmm~"
Olivia Young gave a lazy little hum, rolled over, and snuggled into his arms. Her soft hand landed at his waist, brushing him lightly.
Frederick Fairfax lay still, letting her explore—her touch sent jolts of tingles wherever it went.
Olivia Young’s hand wandered from his waist to his chest, and then lower still.
"Mmm~"
"Wife, go easy..."
"You’ll break it, you know."
Olivia Young’s lashes fluttered as she woke up. Realizing what she’d just been doing, she pretended nothing had happened and rolled away.
Frederick Fairfax: "..."
That’s it?
Really, that’s all?
Besides teasing him, what else could she possibly do?
Fuming, he reached out from behind and pulled her in for a tight hug. "You touch me and then just run away? You get what you want and leave me hanging."
"Olivia Young, how can you be so bad!"
Teasing him was one thing, but keeping such a huge secret from him—the baby was his!
Frederick Fairfax was both happy and mad.
"But I only touched you a little! If you don’t like it, sleep in the guest room. You’ve spent months filming outside—I was home alone the whole time. I got used to sleeping by myself, and then you suddenly show up next to me. It’s not my fault if I touch you in my sleep…"
Olivia Young’s voice was soft and aggrieved. "You’re being unreasonable, calling me bad. You’re the bad one. All bad—all yours…"
Dad always said never to argue logic with a woman.
Frederick Fairfax used to not understand.
Now he did.
Was there any logic in Olivia Young’s words?
Let it go.
Wife is everything.
Wife is the sky.
But as for hiding the truth from him—he wouldn’t let that go so easily.
He would make sure Olivia Young confessed to his face!
"Wife, I’m not blaming you. I’m just hurt. You can’t just tease me and then call it quits. At least finish what you started~"
Frederick Fairfax buried his face in her scented shoulder. "It’s miserable—are you just going to ignore me now?"
"Just bear with it, okay~"
"Olivia Young, your heart is ruthless."
He hadn’t slept all night, got teased first thing in the morning, and now he was expected to just deal with it.
Olivia Young replied gently: "Well, what else can I do? I’m still in my confinement period after giving birth. I can’t wear myself out—I can’t help you, okay?"
Frederick Fairfax took her hand, "Wife, I don’t need you to wear yourself out."
Olivia Young: "..."
Ah! Don’t you dare!
Ahhh!
Now my hand’s a mess! (#`O′)
